Gunslinger -

Meet 'Ol Gunslinger, a local legend. The former bar owner and successful businessman has very little education, swears he can't read or write and always has a somewhat believable tale to tell. Gunny is always ready to show you a prime location to fish or hunt and is renowned for his ability to stay one step ahead of the local game wardens. A true colorful character who will add something special to your stay

Donn Kennedy -

Donn Kennedy, a quiet but dedicated outdoorsman who likes to run his German Shorthairs in search of the illusive ground running pheasants. Being able to satisfy your hunting experiences is one of Don's greatest joys. Don is a key player in managing and monitoring our pheasant habitat and bird populations. As you can see he does like to keep the predators in check. Don is also responsible for doing a lot of the behind the scenes activities in making your stay with us as pleasant and comfortable as possible. If you like shooting over pointing dogs Don is a good choice.

Chad Osthus -

Need a guide with great personality? Chad's the man. When Chad is in the field with his Labs (up to three) you can be assured you will see the birds, harvesting the birds is your job (if you can hit them). Chad loves his hunting and fishing, but in his off time you will find him at the mortuary doing those undertaker things. We don't know of anybody who will work as hard as Chad to make sure that you are satisfied with your hunt. Truly a dedicated people pleaser and is our most popular guide amongst the hunters.

John Tiede -

Here is a dedicated dog man, who is very proud of his award winning dogs. If you have never heard of the German Drahthaar breed, he is the man to talk to. John's dogs are very enjoyable to hunt over with their ability to point, flush and retrieve game that you are after. John has a special know-how in getting his dogs to produce the unexpected when it comes to bird hunting and has a special ability of keeping your hunt organized. John works hard in getting to know you and very sincere in providing you with nothing but a quality hunt.

Dale Drake -

Dale Drake, our handicap specialist, more commonly known as the "One Armed Bandit". Let Dale show you how he has overcome his obstacles of being handicapped and has become one of the area's most productive fisherman and hunter. He is a true sportsman.

Chris Bronson -

Chris Bronson is a native of this area as well and there is no better all around sportsman. Chris consistently catches trophy fish and also produces trophy deer each season. For this guy, bag limits of pheasants and waterfowl are common. Much of his success is attributed to his well trained dogs.

Ron Wagner -

Buffalo are Ron Wagner's specialty. He is our buffalo herdsman, raising and breeding buffalo for years. On the right is a big game guide from Alaska that Ron took hunting this past year.

Burdette Drake -

"Duck Hunter" Drake seems to consistently have an eye for the greenhead drake mallard duck. Burdette Drake was born and raised in this area and spent his entire lifetime getting to know every place that would hold a duck or goose. If you are privileged to hunt with this guy, prepare yourself, Burdette hunts under almost any weather conditions and likes nothing better than to shoot being geese and greenheads in a snowstorm.

Brad Donald -

Brad Donald, head guide, dog trainer and handler. Truly a professional in the guiding business as he has guided at one of the most productive pheasant preserves, guided duck hunts in Mississippi, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Arkansas and other states. His dogs have won many local and regional hunting dog championships, including the 2001 Water Retriever, the Iowa State Pheasant and many other hunting dog events.
